Job Description:

The person in this position is responsible for the day-to-day execution of purchasing, demand planning, inventory management, and distribution of products. The position will be based out of the Round Rock, TX office and report to the Director of Supply Chain. For an individual to be successful in this role, they must be a good communicator and critical thinker. They will be expected to delegate and see that all tasks are carried out to support the needs of the customers and the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase orders and sales orders in Oracle NetSuite and iTrade EDI, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Develop demand forecasts and execute purchasing, sourcing, and replenishment plans to support product availability and business needs.
• Oversee transportation and delivery, including carrier coordination, scheduling, service issues, and freight costs.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate production and distribution plans to balance customer service, efficiency, and inventory costs.
• Maintain weekly formula costs and pricing using market reports and other relevant inputs as well as importing them into Oracle NetSuite.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day vendor and distribution partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Organize and maintain data entry into spreadsheets, utilizing advanced Excel skills to run reports, create dashboards, and analyze data for forecasting and demand planning. This includes the use of functions such as XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting to streamline reporting and improve data accuracy.
• Uphold the integrity of Food Safety and Quality programs, and assist in holding suppliers accountable for meeting established standards.
• Expand financial knowledge and skills to actively contribute to the monthly P&L forecast with greater accuracy and insight.

Education and Experience: 

• BS or higher degree in Business Administration, Agri-Business, Agri-Economics, Meat Science, Animal Science, Food Science, or other related degree or experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of beef or protein supply chain experience is preferred, but not required.

  Requires the ability to effectively communicate verbally and virtually. Clarity of speech, remaining calm and focused, being polite, and making effective presentations to diverse groups.
• Mathematical Skills
  Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Computer Skills
  Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, utilization of Excel Spreadsheets and reporting functions are required. Experience using Microsoft SharePoint, Oracle NetSuite and iTrade EDI are preferred.
• Reasoning Ability
  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
