Community Manager

Job Overview:

At Nolan Ryan Brands, we’re an ambitious and dedicated team looking for a creative community manager to help us achieve our goals and help to manage our creative design, social media initiatives, and activation events.

A successful candidate will like interacting with people in both the digital and physical world and will become the eyes and ears of our social and activation event communities. They will contribute to brain-storm sessions regarding a variety of marketing initiatives through the lens of our customers and consumers–this person will keep a pulse on what matters to our communities and how we can best serve them. They will feel comfortable leading creative development from concept to completion for our social media platforms, website and activation events. They will have a deep knowledge of the social media landscape, experience using design software, as well as website creation and management tools like Shopify, WordPress, etc. They will have experience building out content calendars and creating posts using social media software. An optimal candidate will have studied animal sciences, have an interest in cooking and grilling, photography and enjoy creative writing at times–for larger initiatives, they will partner with creative resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute in strategic, creative ideation for various marketing initiatives.
  • Build creative content from strategy through execution for social platforms, email campaigns, and website.
  • Community management of our Instagram, Facebook and YouTube platforms–reply to comments and manage promotions and contests
  • Build social media posts and program content for posting using Sprout Social
  • Use your social media experience to educate, engage & inspire our community
  • Work activation events and represent the brand in different environments from food festivals, partner restaurant launches, and industry conferences.
  • Capture content from activation events and post real-time posts, stories, reels
  • Build email campaigns using email software and deploy
  • Manage existing website content via content management system
  • Design and build creative assets for a variety of uses to support our brands
  • Manage in-house photography - original, stock and some organic photography with videos for stories will be required
  • Use data as your guide to create engaging content that people will want to pay attention to
  • Prepare and share monthly performance reports internally
  • Keep your eye on the market–know your local competitors’ businesses and what trends are performing well for them for inspiration
  • Help with various other marketing initiatives – we would like this role to evolve and grow with the candidate

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have strong inter-personal and communications skills
  • A passion for social with 1-5 years of social media and creative design experience within an organization or creative agency role
  • Experience managing social media platforms
  • Experience using content management software
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced environment ideally in the food and beverage category
  • Knowledge or background in agriculture or cattle industry a plus
  • A culinary explorer looking for new food and beverage experiences – interest in grilling and Barbecuing a big plus!
  • Work well in a team environment and support team members

Compensation:

  • Salary range – $50K-$70K based on level of experience
